IGERT affiliates receive prestigious awards

Our IGERT trainees and affiliates continue to receive prestigious awards for their research efforts. For example, in 2008 three of our IGERT students received prestigious awards from the International Society for Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ). Our IGERT students swept the best paper category. Donghyun Rim received the ISIAQ best student paper award for his work related to effects of the human thermal plume on exposure to particles and ozone. Chi Hoang received second place for her paper focused on ozone reactions with green building materials. Michael Waring received third place for his paper related to ultrafine particle removal and generation by ion generators. Chi Hoang also received third place in the category of best overall academic performance, which includes criteria related to class work performance and outreach activities in indoor air quality field.
