First Annual CAEE Industry Open House

January 26, 2018 

Please join us for the opportunity to educate our undergraduate and graduate students on the many career paths within the fields of civil, architectural and environmental engineering.

Practicing engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds are invited to share information about careers in industry, consulting, construction, research, government, education and more.

The Future of CAEE Careers Panel - Mulva Auditorium
1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Department Chair Robert Gilbert and distinguished young alumni panel answer student questions about choosing technical electives, considering graduate school and building a strong resume.

Industry Coffee Chats
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Students and engineers/representatives meet one-on-one to discuss how coursework translates to industry needs. Company tables set up in common atrium area.

Technical Area Break Out Rooms
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Faculty and graduate students present research overviews and lead conversations about technical areas within all three major and post-graduation goals.

 Social Hour

4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Mix & mingle with our students. Refreshments provided.

What Does it Cost to Participate?

Corporate and Non-Profit listed in registration sites. Fees to support event costs, student organizations, and instruction. Due to limited space availability, tables limited and sold on first come first serve basis. 

What to Bring

- tablecloth for 6-ft. table
- anything that will get students excited about what your firm or organization does
- organizational handouts, literature, visual aids (should not exceed parameters of 6-ft. table)

 What Not to Bring

- promotional giveaways other than pens
- no floor banners
