ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applications for admission and financial aid are handled on-line at http://www.utexas.edu/student/giac/. Application deadlines are as follows:

Admission is based on several factors, including the following:
- grade point average (GPA) on all previous upper division (junior and senior level) and graduate coursework;
- scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE); and
- scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), unless the applicant is exempted from the TOEFL by the Admissions Office (see "Information for Prospective International Students").
Other factors on which admission is based are letters of reference, the specific interest of the student, and the availability of space. Admission and financial aid decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
