EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Employment opportunities are excellent for our graduates. The Engineering Career Assistance Center actively provides current students and alumni with many resources for their job search, including current job postings, resume-writing workshops, interviewing-skills coaching, and company background information. Many potential employers recruit actively on campus throughout the year. Students may also find employment by assisting faculty in research. Research includes structural systems, construction engineering, construction materials, and building environmental systems. Specific topics in each area vary, but include a wide range of structural systems and materials, non-destructive evaluation, project planning and construction automation, and building energy efficiency and sustainability. Graduates are qualified to assume positions related to structural or architectural engineering consulting, construction management, facilities management, real estate development, construction materials development, environmental systems, energy-related industries, and governmental agencies.
