FTP Access to
Stu/CLASS from Home
**CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE** Use Mapping Method
- To connect to the CE-LRC server, CIVIL, ftp to "civil.ce.utexas.edu".
A username and password are required.
- To connect to the CE anonymous ftp site, ftp to "ftp.ce.utexas.edu"
with username "anonymous" and your email address as the
password. The "incoming" directory is writable by anonymous
logins but is purged at 3:30AM every morning.
Logon Procedure
- Secure logons to civil.ce.utexas.edu have access
to "home" directories: STU and CLASS
Follow these steps:
To log in, FTP to civil.ce.utexas.edu
- Login name = ce-lrc\username for civil
- Login password = your assigned password
- Change directories using the table below: (UNIX uses forward slash
"/")

Example:
If you are using WS_FTP your initial connection screen
will look like this if you are logging into civil.ce.utexas.edu:
(If you have trouble connecting to civil, try using the IP address,
146.6.89.140.)
To access your directory, you must click the ChgDir
button under "Remote Site" on the right side
of the screen and enter the directory path as shown in the example below:
If you are using SmartFTP your initial connection
screen will look like this if you are logging into civil.ce.utexas.edu\stu
or civil.ce.utexas.edu\class:
To access your directory, you must double click the first letter
of you username directory and click your username.
or
To access your class directory, you must double click the directory
name.
