8.5 x 11 and 11 x 17 PC Color Printing from Win2000/XP

Special papers and transparencies may be given to operators for insertion into these printers. Only plain paper will be supplied by the site. Only transparency-stock make specifically for the above HP printers may be used. Sheets cost between $0.50 - $1.00 each and are generally available at campus bookstores and office supply stores.

Within your application:

1. From the File menu.....select Print
2. To print to the HP LaserJet 4550  select  \\PRINTSERVER-AD1\color_laser from the list of connected printers (this task will vary from application to application).
3. If COLOR_LASER does not appear on the application's list of connected printers perform the following steps to connect to the printer:

Click the Next button.

Step 3

Select the button "A network printer" and click Next.


Step 4

Type \\PRINTSERVER-AD1\Color_Laser  if you are in the CE-LRC domain

then click Next.

Step 5

DO NOT set this printer as your default. Click Next .

Step 6

Click Finish.
