Color Plotting from a PC
Overview
- An HP DesignJet 5500ps inkjet plotter is available in the CE-LRC output site, ECJ 3.304. This plotter can plot up to "D" size plots (36"x72") in color or monotone (black).
- The plotter is included in the LRC quota system, and each plot will deduct 15 credits from your quota.
- Only output requiring plotting (i.e., greater than 11"x17" size) should be directed to this printer.
- NO special papers and transparencies may be given to operators for insertion into these printers. Only the roll feed paper we supply may be used.
Step-by-Step Instructions for PC Plotting from Windows 2000/XP
From your application:
1. select Print... from the File menu list
2. select \\PRINTSERVER-AD1\Color_Plotter from the list of connected printers if you are in the CE-LRC domain

4. If the COLOR_PLOTTER does not appear on the application's list of connected printers perform the following steps: Step 1
From the Taskbar select Start-->Settings--Printers and Faxes. Double click on Add a printer under the Printer Tasks box.

Step 2
Click the Next button.

Step 3
In the next window select A network printer. The click the Next button.
Step 4
Type \\PRINTSERVER-AD1\Color_Plotter if you are in the CE-LRC domain
then click Next.
Step 5
DO NOT set this printer as your default. Click Next

Step 6
Click Finish

Now that the color plotter is connected to your computer, return to top for instructions on how to print.
