Desmond Lawler Receives Water Quality Person of the Year Award

Desmond F. Lawler, Professor in environmental and water resources engineering, has been selected to receive the 2010 Water Quality Person of the Year Award from the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA). Lawler was recognized for "his significant research contributions to improving general water quality and supply, in particular his recent focus on pretreatment for membrane processes that allows improved recover for reverse osmosis desalination."

Lawler wishes to recognize several current and former graduate students for their outstanding research contributions in this area: Michael Cobb, Lauren Greenlee, Scott Hekmann, Younggy Kim, and Shane Walker.
