Staff Excellence Awards and Service Awards Announced for 2010
Each year the University, the Cockrell School of Engineering, and the CAEE department, recognize non-teaching employees who have made outstanding contributions to the university, school, and department. The following staff were presented awards in April and May:

University Outstanding Staff Awards
The University of Texas at Austin Outstanding Staff Award honors and recognizes the invaluable contributions of thirty outstanding staff members who have had a significant impact on the university. Two CAEE staff received an award at the university-wide ceremony on May 6, 2010.
Cockrell School of Engineering Outstanding Staff Awards
The Staff Excellence Awards honor selected non-teaching personnel who have distinguished themselves and who have contributed significantly to the effectiveness of the teaching, advising, counseling, and research efforts of the Cockrell School. These awards recognize those dedicated individuals who are recognized by their supervisors and peers as having performed exceptional and meritorious service. Three CAEE staff were presented an award on May 12, 2010.

University Staff Service Awards

Service awards are presented to university staff in recognition of length of service. Staff receive their first service award for ten (10) years of eligible service. Thereafter, service awards are presented in five-year intervals as eligible service accrues.

CAEE Staff Excellence Awards
Inaugurated in 2010, the CAEE award is presented to staff members who have distinguished themselves and who have contributed significantly to the CAEE Department's teaching, advising, mentoring, and/or research efforts. Two awards were presented at the annual CAEE spring banquet on April 8.
