Associate Professor Salvatore Salamone and Ph.D. candidate Arvin Ebrahimkhanlou were selected by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) to receive a 2018 ASNT Fellowship Award.

The award provides assistance to fund research activity in nondestructive testing at the graduate level, either master’s or doctoral. The researchers will receive a $20,000 award to pursue their proposed work, “MEWR: A bio-inspired probabilistic framework for structural health monitoring of complex structures."

They will be recognized at the ASNT Annual Conference in Houston in October 2018.
