Biography

I have spent a lot of time in three Texas cities brimming with history: Pasadena (“The Birthplace of Texas”), Montgomery (“The Birthplace of the Texas Flag”), and Austin (“The Live Music Capital of the World”). After a quick four years at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee earning my B.E. in Mathematics and Chemical/Biomolecular Engineering, I came back to Texas and entered the University of Texas at Austin’s Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Program in Fall 2010. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree, studying sediment contamination levels using passive sampling devices.

Since coming to Austin, I have become even more active. Most of my time (after I am done with lab and class work) is spent outdoors: playing tennis, running around Lady Bird Lake, jumping into Barton Springs, or watching plays at Zilker Park’s hillside theater.
