DESCRIPTION
This Texas Department of Transportation-sponsored research project is a multi-disciplinary project to characterize recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) and crushed concrete (CC) as backfill material for mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls. Geotechnical characterization includes strength testing, hydraulic conductivity testing, reinforcement pull out testing, and creep testing. Materials testing includes corrosion and durability testing of metallic and polymeric reinforcement.
