CE 311K - Introduction to Computer Methods
CE 311K is a fundamental course that is required for both CE and ARE majors. The main purpose of the course is to introduce you to computer programming and the use of numerical methods to solve problems that arise in a variety of engineering disciplines. More importantly, it will help form a foundation for developing your problem solving skills through the use of an organized and systematic approach that is essential for your success as an engineer.
By the end of the course, you should be able to do the following:
Create Mathcad worksheets.
Develop algorithms and programs to solve engineering problems.
Select appropriate computational software for specific applications.
Utilize numerical procedures to obtain solutions of engineering problems.
