Bio
Navid Saleh is a professor in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining UT Austin, Saleh was an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina.
His research interests include the applications and implications of nanomaterials, evaluating nano-bio interactions for environmental and biological systems, utilizing nanomaterials for advanced infrastructure, and community-engaged research to evaluate water quality in low-income communities in the U.S. and beyond. Saleh’s lab has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
Saleh’s research group has published 75 peer-reviewed journal articles with more than 6,800 citations. Saleh serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Hazardous Materials (impact factor: 7.65) and is a member of the board of the Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization.
