Bio
Stephen G. Wright is a professor emeritus in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering, all from the University of California at Berkeley.
Wright’s areas of teaching and research include geotechnical engineering, with a specialization in slope stability problems and computer applications. His recent research projects have been focused on slope reinforcement, submarine slope stability in deep water (> 1000 meters) and three-dimensional slope stability.
