International Association for Travel Behaviour Research

IATBR

The IATBR is an international association of researchers who are interested in research that advances the state-of-the-understanding of the link among the activity, information exchange and travel behaviour of individuals. The association was established in the early 1970's to facilitate the exchange of information among researchers around the world with a board reflecting the international balance of interests in travel behaviour research.

The main activity of the association has been the organization of triennial conferences on travel behaviour research. The six most recent of these were held in Chile (2022), Santa Barbara, CA (2018), Windsor, U.K. (2015), Toronto, Canada (2012), Jaipur, India (2009), and Kyoto, Japan (2006). The next conference will be held in Vienna in 2024.  More information about IATBR can be obtained at the web-site of the Association:  https://iatbr.weebly.com/
