Spatial Water Balance of Texas

Three water balance models were applied in the state of Texas: an atmospheric water balance, a soil-water balance, and a surface water balance. Results of the project include 5km gridded maps of mean annual runoff and evaporation for the state of Texas.   In addition, data from several sources were combined to create maps of the mean annual Bowen ratio.  This map lends insight into the relationship between the energy balance and the water balance at the earth's surface.  A paper describing the results of this study and a proposed method for reconciling the surface water and soil-water balance approaches will soon be submitted to a professional journal.

The Word version is more updated than the HTML version, particularly the Appendix.  In the spatial water balance of Texas study,
