Welcome to my web page!  In May 1999, I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering here at the University of Texas. In my research, I used ArcView GIS to create digital terrain models and floodplain maps based on output of the HEC-RAS hydraulic model. My advising professor was Dr. David Maidment.  Before coming to U.T., I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Rice University in 1994.  Following graduation from Rice, I worked as an environmental engineer for 3 1/2 years at Roy F. Weston, Inc. in Houston and Austin, Texas.  I'm originally from Chicago, but I've lived in Texas for the last 17 years.  However, I'm still a big time Chicago sports fan and enjoy following my favorite teams: The Cubs, Da Bears, and Da Bulls .  I like to spend my spare time with my wife, lifting weights, and playing basketball. I've since moved to Irvine, California where I'm currently employed at ABS Consulting, serving as lead GIS developer for the development of FEMA's HAZUS Flood Loss Estimation Model.
