Chandra Bhat Selected as New Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Research Part B

Professor Chandra Bhat has been selected to serve as editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, starting January 1, 2019.
The journal publishes papers on all methodological aspects of transportation, particularly those that require mathematical analysis. The general theme of the journal is the development and solution of problems that are adequately motivated to deal with important aspects of the design and/or analysis of transportation systems.
Bhat has served as an associate editor of Part B for many years and has published over 50 of his own papers in the journal, some of which are among its most highly cited articles.
He is the Joe J. King Chair in Engineering and the current director of the Tier 1 USDOT Data-Supported Transportation Operations and Planning (D-STOP) University Transportation Center. At UT Austin, he teaches courses in transportation systems analysis and transportation planning and is recognized nationally and internationally as a leading expert in the area of travel demand modeling and travel behavior analysis.
