Events

Who:
• CAEE undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Fall 2025 are eligible to participate.

What:
• Design the CAEE Department’s 2025 t-shirt
• Winner’s design will be printed on our annual t-shirts, which are distributed to all CAEE students, faculty, staff, visitors, etc.
• Contest winner will receive $150 prize 

Design Rules:
• Follow the Cockrell School of Engineering's style guidelines.
• Front side design only and a maximum of two colors
• Have a designated location for the CAEE logo (i.e. sleeve) which will be added by the department
• Design must be built/created using Illustrator or InDesign in vector format.
• Individually created designs are preferred. Any web images used must be royalty-free and not copyrighted.
• Please consider all majors – civil, architectural, environmental – design must encompass our entire CAEE community.

Competition:
• Design must follow all of the above guidelines to be eligible.
• A committee comprised of CAEE faculty and staff will anonymously vote on eligible designs.
• All entries become property of The University of Texas at Austin and the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering. The winner is requested to sign a release form.
• The winner will also be asked to provide the original file format (Illustrator or InDesign) so the department can submit file to t-shirt printing company.
• Designs will have to be approved by UT’s Office of Trademarks and Licensing and the winner may be asked to make revisions.
• Submissions due July 18, 2025.
