About
Randall J. Charbeneau is professor emeritus in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Over more than 42 years, he has served the department, Cockrell School of Engineering and The University of Texas System through teaching, research and administration.
His leadership roles have included Director of the Center for Research in Water Resources at UT Austin (1989–1997), Associate Dean for Research in the Cockrell School of Engineering (1999–2008), Administrative Judge on the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (2008–2016), and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research for The University of Texas System (2012–2020).
