The Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering remains one of the top graduate programs in the nation, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.

The department ranked No. 4 among all civil engineering programs nationwide and No. 7 in environmental/environmental health engineering.

Texas CAEE is one of the largest, most extensive departments of its kind in the U.S., with 10 graduate specialties, more than 10,000 living alumni, 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students and 50 faculty members. The department is also home to the No. 6 environmental engineering undergraduate program and the No. 8 civil engineering undergraduate program.

U.S. News & World Report’s annual engineering graduate program rankings are based on student acceptance rates, faculty/student ratios, research expenditures, reputation among engineers in industry and academia, the number of doctoral degrees produced, the percentage of faculty elected to the National Academy of Engineering and entrance exam scores.
