Dr. Maria Juenger has been awarded the 2020 American Concrete Institute’s Concrete Sustainability Award in recognition of her innovative research to improve the sustainability of concrete materials.
The American Concrete Institute is a leading authority and resource for the development, dissemination, and adoption of its consensus-based standards, technical resources, educational & training programs, certification programs, and proven expertise for individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction, and materials.
This award was established to recognize professionals who have contributed in highlighting concrete’s role in sustainability through demonstration or improvement in concrete’s sustainable attributes through research, design, education, or construction; and/or the use of concrete in innovative ways to contribute to a more sustainable built environment.
Dr. Juenger’s award will be presented at the ACI Spring 2020 Concrete Convention and Exposition in March.
